Yesterday 3 y.o. dcb got up from the lunch table w/o asking to be excused. I had struggled with his behavior all day, he's pretty new, & didn't want to get onto him yet again so I let it go. About 30 seconds later he walked back to his chair, gave me the most ornery, but adorable smile, & said, "May I be excused please?" I thought to myself, "We're going to be ok."
That smile could melt your heart.
