I wear longer style shorts... I don't think short shorts are appropriate at work (and definitely not for my age..lol!) so I buy the longer style ones. I'm short so some of the mid-length shorts are long for me but I tend to stick to one style for work.
Usually cargo style with side pockets...like this
I love capri pants too but even they get hot in the humid summers here.
