I would totally call her out on it. I don't know how people can leave their children in someone elses care without letting that person know exactly how to reach them quickly. I know they all have cell phones but I would call a parent at their job before calling their cell and that is just wasting what could be valuable time. If a parent just came in and said I have the day off, then I would know to just call their cell in case of an emergency. And then to LIE about it after they are caught, that is just super disrespectful, I wouldn't find it funny - I'd be pretty mad that they thought I was some kind of idiot.
