If it happens, regardless of the excuse, exclude. If they come back and it happens again, exclude. Keep up with your 24 hour exclusion rule and let them term themselves if they don't want to do what they need to do to calm his gut. No one can afford to take that much time off work.
I had a dcm giving a dck QUARTS of OJ every evening and then getting upset with ME when I sent home for diarrhea! They FINALLY changed his diet, but it took a LOT of convincing and calling for pick up on my part.
