I am with Willow and Silver as I have long hair too and if it is in my face, I get a little crazy so anyone having their hair fixed in an appropriate manner works for me, as long as the barrettes or ties don't fall out and aren't choking hazards.
I will also re-do or fix a child's hair if necessary.
I have a little guy here that
"won't let" mom or dad take him to get a hair cut. It wouldn't be so bad but his hair is like super out of control and it is starting to actually be an issue because stuff is getting stuck in his hair and well, it is just really unruly and really getting out of control. Not really sure what to do with this issue though as I have never had to tell a parent their kid's hair is a problem...
