Having amazing dcp (even if it's just one) makes things all the worth while! I have one dcm whom I love and would fight tooth and nail to make sure they never ever leave me lol. When it's time for her son to go to kinder Im gonna be very sad. Her son and mine are two weeks apart and play so well. She's my exception to any rules and id take him all weekend if I was asked.

In this business (home or center) you find those gems. I worked at a wonderful center years ago and had a favorite and when we became stationed somewhere else and had to move I cried and cried. Years later I got in touch with her mom and she's 10(!) now and still remembers me after 7yrs.

Having that relationship with even just one family is enough for me to keep trucking through with the ones that make me want to stick pencils in my ears.

I always tell my favorite to let me clone them. Then again, what fun would it be to have a home full of "perfect" dcf's? I need some crazy in my life to appreciate the sane. Lol

I'm happy for you!
