I'm shocked how many don't have backups. I'm required to and still think about it a lot on who it would need to be. I should call to find out if they need to be fingerprinted because that could take a few months. We're not required to to TB testing anymore and I'm fairly sure CPR/First Aid are not required for substitutes, but I'm having my DH take those classes when I need to renew mine.

Country Kids---Do you have a friend who can take your child to their appointments? That would be easier to find than to find someone for the whole daycare.
