This is how I feel as well. It's a double edged sword and parents should know the pros and cons of center vs. home care. So sorry that you have dcps that aren't understanding.
It's just adding more stress to an already heartbreaking situation. I would send a text or email about taking your deserved time off, and if there are families that won't return, then best of luck to them finding other care. Being the holidays, it shouldn't be too difficult for them to take time off or find a family member or friend that could help them out. Hope you can spend as much time with your mom as possible.
