I don't think this is a fair statement to make.
Just like us, just because the children aren't present in the classroom doesn't mean the teachers aren't working.
They are providing the lesson plans, the instructions etc...
I think it's a parent's responsibility to have to suck up the slack when teachers can't be IN the same room with the children while they learn.
I know in my community the teachers are still teaching but doing so without the traditional class room time.
Parents need only make sure the kids are doing the work assigned. Just like always.
