I just had this conversation with my exiting 4 year old dcg...
She: " I am going to the Big Girls school tomorrow."
Me: " I know, you are such a big girl now, and are so ready!! Are you excited?"
She: " Yes.......but.."
Me: "But what, angel?"
She: "Will they like me?"
Me: "Of course they will like you! They are going to love you! You are the sweetest girl I have ever known..."
She: "..and thats alot of girls, too...." with a huge smile...
Me: "It sure is"
"She: "So after tomorrow you will just be my best friend?"
I just hugged her!!! How sweet is that??? She is now frosting a rice crispy treat and decorating it with sprinkes...
Yep, she has me wrapped!!
THIS is why we do this for a living! What a wonderful moment. Makes everything else worthwhile.
