I have been thinking about this lately, how to separate the dogs/kids when I open in May. I have kids now who are family, but they have always been around my dogs and are never unsupervised around them. Most of the time the dogs ignore the kids, but I still don't feel comfortable having dck and dogs in the house. Never thought about the insurance angle. Def. something to think about. I was thinking more along the lines of my sanity and parent's peace of mind. My dogs are VERY used to kids, since they have been raised with my 3, but I was also thinking that some kids may not know how to "nicely" pet a dog, which could be a concern....I heard a story one time about a dck who stabbed a pencil in the providers' dogs' ear and the dog bit the child. Was absolutely a horrible situation for all involved. Anyway...seem to have gotten of topic a bit here..lol. But glad to read how everyone else handles the dog/dck situation.
