I definitely agree here. For me, the parents say, "This is what I need."
I have to figure out (among many other things) if that is something I can offer or if I have a compromise that might work.
I also don't know if it is the "golden parents" or my rules (I do have rules btw
) but I do know it is working for me, as yours is for you, and that is the best we can hope for.
I also think it helps a ton to know what you really want and can do. I don't say yes to anything that is going to make me crazy.
