They aren't concerned about it at all because they DON'T WANT HIM TO HAVE ANY "peace and quiet" during the day. They want the peace and quiet in the evening.
Either that, or they figured out that he WILL drink from a sippy, but only if it's juice or chocolate milk. I can easily see it being either way.

OP, one of the *only* things I could see trying would be to give him sippies of those substances (make the parents supply them though, perhaps) and once he's drinking reliably at your house, start watering the juice and decreasing the amount of chocolate in the milk very gradually until it's pure water and plain milk.

If you use opaque sippies the other kids *might* not realize that he has something different from them...
