So today DCM asks if her PT child can come one of her FT child's days because FT child will be home sick. I said NO. They see it as me just having one of their kids instead of the other but I see it entirely different. They pay 2 different rates, they each have their own sick/vac days to use and FT child will be leaving to go to preschool in August so I want to keep things separate. DCM looked a little taken back when she left and I almost started to second guess myself but the more I thought about it the prouder I got that I said no right off the bat.
I'm right there with you! It helped me to look at it as a business decision. When I looked at it that way then it helped make me feel less wimpy about it.
