I've been doing election polls for several years and find them fascinating. I pulled up some from the 2012 election and one that we did in April of 2016 for this election. The polls are anonymous so on one knows who voted for whom here.

I find it interesting that the final poll for 2012 was so far off but our polls are mostly women here on Daycare.com and does not reflect the overall national voter profile.

This year, our choices are SO scary and limited, it's not even funny. I see danger voting for either of the main candidates and feel either one will cause more of a downward spiral. I say this many election years but this time has got to be the worst ever. And both parties have now stooped lower than low with their $hit slinging(I know it happens but I don't recall it ever being this bad or ridiculous).
I don't care if the incoming president is THE best candidate in the world; they will have to perform a miracle to get this country back on the right track where people can work, it's safe to live here, people who have real needs can have the help they need, etc., etc. But with these 2 coming in.....I see nothing but major fail.

I pray I'm wrong.

I'm voting for the cocktail party.

In all seriousness, probably Trump but only because I think he hasn't had time in office to prove he is evil, whereas Clinton has. Had he been in office as a politician, I'm sure his history would be just as...interesting.

I don't like either, fwiw.

I feel the same way.

This will be the first presidential election in which I don't vote for a major party candidate. I just can't support either candidate.

The poll so far is interesting. Is Johnson pulling more votes from Hillary than Trump?

I vote Trump because I believe he can bring our country back and doing the right thing to do is stop illegal people come here and do the right way. I also want Obamacare out because I feel that is not right thing to do is forcing everyone to have Obamacare or have to pay the fine if they choose not to have obamacare. There is so many I want to say but I rather not to say.

Just saying....

I wonder this too. I think that Trump, having no past political career, would be the major factor for libertarians trying to choose. Clinton is pretty much the opposite of everything libertarians believe in and while Trump has some issues, he is not as tainted as she is, imo.

I'm wondering if the "Other" is a party that's actively running, or a protest vote. Because if my sense of humor was a little darker and my cynicism just a little stronger, I'd write in "Celestine V" this year. (Look him up. Poor guy.)

"Other" could be a write-in for Sanders or yourself, etc.

I think the some of the votes other than Trump and Clinton are those "testing the water" to see if their candidate could garner enough votes to sway more support to them. If Johnson or Stein could get to 30%, that would be a game changer. A few weeks from the election, I think many of these "other" votes will change to one of the top two.

I'd say your polls from April 16 were spot on and Sanders was the only one that could beat Trump. There was no election fraud or voter suppression though. Now most Bernie supporters are split up between Clinton, Stein, Johnson and the ones that plan to write him in and the Dems didn't think it would go this way. I doubt a Bernie supporter would go Trump but so many people are pissed off who knows. I know quite a few 20 somethings who were staunch Bernie supporters who pledged to go Trump because in their eyes "if you can't fix the system, crash it and start from scratch". I don't know how it will go, I just know this country can't keep going on like it has.

For now I would vote for Jill Stein. That could change in the next few months.
