So yeaterday during lunch dcb (5) says he has to go potty , so I tell him to go . It was really quiet and then he comes walking out . I say "you did not flush and I did not hear the water to wash your hands" so I have him go back and follow him . I am 3 steps behind him literally . I see him start sliding his feet and the floor is shiny . Then I notice a large yellow puddle in front of my sink which is 3 feet away from my toilet . He was wiping the floor with his socks to soak up all the pee !!
For whatever unknown reason he peed all over the floor on top of the toilet with the lid closed , on the wall , on the sink cabinet , step stool , and trash can . This is a 6ft by 6ft area and it was wet everywhere .
He said he was walking around and peeing , he did not know why .
I had to soak up all the pee , use a urine deodorizer that I had for my puppies, then bleach and water then my swiffer cleaner to get rid of the bleach small . And i swear I can still small the pee this morning .
Dh was so mad that he said to term him . I too was upset but dcb will be gone when school starts .
So I can/will finish off the summer ,
unless something like this happens again .

I hope you shared with the parents.I also would not allow a closed door.I would stand at the door and make sure he did not miss.

Yes.., update!!!
At 5 a child knows better. Sounds like he was looking to get into trouble. How did you discipline him? Normally when a child that age makes a mess knowingly I would have them help me clean up but wouldn't be able to if it were his urine. What did his parents say? Sorry you had to deal with this. I can understand why DH would want to term.

I keep the door open for
all except the sa kids .
I told the g-ma when she came . She did not know what to say , I told her there was no way it could have been an accident . She said she would tell his mother . Dcm is supposed to drop off this morning so we will see what she has to say.
That is really gross. I had a 5yoDCB who had to go back to wearing pull-ups for 2 straight weeks with me accompanying him to the restroom and standing outside of the open door until I could trust him again for a very similar reason.

After I got done cleaning I would have given the kid cleaning supplies to give it another once over. I wouldn't have made it fun either.

This. Oh, and from now on, he SITS to use the bathroom. I had a similar issue with my 5 yo boy (he had held it until the last minute and then when he had to go he couldn't contain it
) So he had to sit to pee for several weeks until he could prove he could go like a "big" boy.

Yup. An "accident" on this scale would be treated just like any other potty trained child. More than one accident and they're back in pull ups for 2 weeks.
I'm worried something like this will happen here because there's no way I could leave the kids for long enough to get it properly cleaned up.

If it happens again then I would have to let him go , my family happiness is more important .
I did not make him clean up again after I was done I was just too frustrated . I still had kids eating and I have to wash , clean and disinfect the bathroom so the others cold use it before nap time .
I spoke with him about why he did it and how he did it . There was no real answer . He finished lunch and went down for his nap .
Luckily my bathroom is off the kitchen so I could keep an eye on the kids and clean .
He did not come today either .
