If a parent takes a child out with no notice and refuses to pay how long do you add the late fee? I am taking the parents to court but I am not sure of how long you can legally charge them a late fee!

My contract says that I charge a late fee for up to 14 calendar days and then I close the case and do what ever it is I am planning on doing next.....collections, small claims court, etc etc....
From my experience, recouping late fees that outweigh the original debt is pretty rare.
