How much money do you bring in a month?
I am making about 2200 a month now. 3 part time, 2 full time
Does anyone else care to share?

Not much! haha! I have all part-timers, one is only here for a couple hours so I only make 160 a month alone with that one!

Total monthly income is 1000 a month. Ugh.

$2,525.00 a month, no food program, 6 kids. Full-Time (M-F) Only.

That is just the daycare income, though. It is really difficult to make much in the Southeast, it seems.

$9400/month-$7400 after I pay my assistant. We are on the food program so that really helps alot.
15 children enrolled.Full time, part time and just a few after school kids that have been here since they were born(and still have siblings here)
I'm sure it's alot less once I deduct all the expenses,which is alot,but I can't complain.

I make about $2000 a month with my 4 full timers and then I have a drop in 1 or 2 days a week which brings in another $100-$200 a month. This is the most full time kids I have had all at once in the 3 years I've been open.

I make about 3000 a month but could make WAY more because I don't have too many kids during the day. I have 5 during the day and can have 12 children by myself but that would be a lot. I get the food program but it hardly covers what I spend on groceries. I am in South Dakota and starting wage here is 10 an hour so there is probably no way I can make the same amount working outside the home without a degree.

$1800 per month with food program, roughly. 5 fulltime slots taken used, but in the summer I work only 4 days most weeks. One of my fulltimers goes to preschool 4 am's per week, and another full-timer is often here only 3 days per week, although they have the option of bringing him 5 if needed.

Hey, thanks for the opportunity to count my blessings! I used to make the same money in a bank, and had to be gone all day, then do laundry, dinner, etc. Now I can throw in that occasional load of laundry..

Wow, you all seem rich compared to me, lol! I used to do care in my home & my "high" point was about $1200/month. . . but then I only had 2 families - 1 kid was full-time, 5 days a week with a sibling who was B & A school. My other family had 2 kids & came 3 days/week.

I now nanny in another parent's home & it is part-time (I work @ 4 days a week - it's @ 31 hours/week). I make $1400/month. It's so worth it to me to have a full day at home with my family & to get things done.

Before or after expenses? I only really make 40% of what I bring in, and then I pay an assistant about half of that. So not much. Probably around $1000 per month! About $3600 before expenses. That is with 8 full timers and 2 part timers. I have to claim my youngest still and are holding a spot for a newborn starting the beginning of the year.

About $6000 that is 8 spots filled daily ( from fulltimers, part timers, drop ins..its rare I will have a spot open after all 15 families have taken the days they need for drop ins/part timers.) That is also with the foodprogram.

My $9400 is before expenses.I pay my asssitant $2000/month. The food program covers most of the food,I pay between 200-300 more a month.
$200-pre-school curriculum.
I've never really added it up but I still have to buy wipes, paper towels, etc each month. Plus utilities each month.
I usually buy all my toys, books, items that need to be replaced with the money from my re-enrollment fee each year $100/per family.
Plus my daycare parents are SUPER generous about donating items like wipes, paper towels, kleenex, hand soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, snacks and any used toys their kids outgrow. I really am lucky to have such great daycare families
I just had a little girl this summer potty train and she came walking in carrying a 24 double roll of toilet paper. She said"Mama says this is to wipe my tushy, here you go" I still laugh whenever she goes potty.LOL

like our rates, this can vary so much, some of us are licensed for 3-5 kids, others licensed for 8-15 kids.

I can make anywhere from $0-$3500 a month, depending on spots filled. Would be much more if I ever filled every spot at my highest part time rate, but that would never really happen, I love my full timers!

3 full timers (one is a 5 day a week, two are 4 day a week) and uh... hmm.. 1,000 a month maybe? I'm not entirely sure as September will be the first month I've watched the 2 full time, before they were part time... so then, add another 300 for the food program... roughly 1300 monthly. We're still low income at this point, which is why we get so much from the food program... they also include my son in the reimbursement too.

I'm in Southern California... San Diego area. $200 a week is VERY high for here. I charge $160 a week for full timers or $40 per day. Thats probably the highest I can get here. Theres A LOT of unlicensed babysitters & SAHM's around here that charge @ $100 a day... so it kind of messes up the flow in rates here. I only care for 6 kids at a time though... never 8. I dont really like caring for "school-agers" except my own So I probably will never make more than I do now.

LOL, same here. I watch them until they reach about 4, then it's off to pre-k for them. And 6 is my limit too. I used to be licensed for 12, and I had a full load. It was exhausting. My MIL was my helper, but it was still too much work

I find it interesting how different income is for everyone spread across America. Some are making double what I make for the same amount of kids! Astonishing and makes you wonder why such a difference because it doesn't sound like drastic differences in rates when people have put them down.

Anyhow the real answer is not enough. I have two families one with two kids one with three. They are before and after school, 6A to 8P. But one is here only two days a week, the other is here usually 3-4. So I am making $480 a month. I am not charging enough I know but I was having a hard time getting kids and gave discounts. I will probably raise rates soon.

I couldn't get before & after school if I tried. The schools here offer it for $5 an hour. There is no reason for anyone to use a daycare for older kids.

See it is in demand here our school doesn't offer it. And many parents work in other towns and have their younger kids in care in the towns that work in, but need someone for before and after school. I kind of like having my days free, but need to make more money.

I make around 2000 a month. I have five kids. I cant legally have more than that. I live in NJ. It's no where near the cost of living. I do it so I stay at home with my children. A while ago, I wanted to open a center but zoning is crazy in NJ.

Come January one of my full timers will start spring semester Preschool, so I will be down one child. As of right now I make about $375/week, or 1,500/MO. I will be making about 1,100/MO for a few months, and then back to my usual. Come May, I am projected to make 2,000/MO. All in all I can't complain.
