Daycare and Taxes>What can I claim for this?
WImom 06:13 AM 01-26-2015
I went out of town (2h hour car ride) to commission for my preschool credential.

I know I can claim the mileage. I wasn't sure about any of the rest. I don't drive far distances so my husband drove me which meant we had to take my kids. We ate lunch there and they went to a game place while I was at my commission (It was 4 hours long). Is any of that cost claimable at all? Also, my dog had to go to daycare for the day because it was too long of a time to leave her home. Is any of that claimable?

Thanks!

The only thing you can deduct is the mileage. The rest are personal expenses.
