The playhouse for my Preschoolers was delivered to my home today. On the phone, the seller (craigslist) told me that he would not sell me anything else in the future because I am not a Catholic, and he has to answer to the Lord one day. He said he would only deliver the playhouse today because he gave me his word. I am dumbfounded.

Huh?? He must be crazy! I was told I was a catholic but honest, it don't mean anything to me. I don't know much about catholic, anyways. I am sorry he was very rude, I wouldn't deal with him again in the future.

I know people have the right to sell to whomever they want.
But isnt that discrimination? We cant discriminate against daycare clients
because of religion!

He said, "I noticed you were a Christian daycare. But, being a Catholic and being Christian are different things."

My Grandpa is Catholic. My Mom (and her 4 sisters) were raised in the Catholic faith. They wouldn't say something like that to me or my family in a million years. We're non-denominational.

If I told you all of the things that have happened to me because of my religion you guys probably not believe me. This does not surprise me.....But it does show that mans arrogance.

I would have had a hard time not laughing at the guy. How did he know you were NOT Catholic? I guess I would have also had a hard time not saying, "Well, with words and an attitude like that you may have to answer sooner rather than later ; ) "

"I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't like to buy from people who are mean spirited, so you are right, we should not do business anymore." Wow. I hope the play house.was worth it, I would have a hard time NOT telling him to cancel the purchase. I am shocked someone would feel so holier-than-thou that they said that. Seems a tad un-christian like .

I have often been accused of not being a Christian because I am a Mormon.

Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of my religion and my life. I believe in Him with all my heart and soul. That makes me a Christian.

It's like saying you are only a parent if you do your parenting a certain way!!!

So sad that there are people like that out there. I wonder what the man would say if he was asked to explain the meaning of the parable of the Good Samaritan? He is most certainly one who would pass by on the other side of the road.

Wow. I went to Catholic school for 12 years and I don't remember any lessons about not doing business with non-Catholics. We now go to a non-denominational Christian church and my mom thinks we are going to burn because we left the Catholic church , so I can see how a mis-guided Catholic who is also pretty arrogant, imo, could say something ridiculous like that.

I visited my friend's Catholic church once and during one of the prayers the Priest said "Pray for all of the Catholics.."

I could only blink my eyes in amazement. It was a wake up call. Needless to say I never visited that Church again as I was rather turned off by it.

I come from a Church where all are welcome, all can attend communion if they believe and we pray for everyone. But we don't drink wine at communion - Mr. Welch created a fine drink for us.

The Church you come from sounds like the Church we attend.
