Is mileage that we use specifically for child care, such as going to trainings, 100% deductible? What about when we go shopping for daycare things and other things?

You can deduct business trips in which the "primary purpose" of the trip was business. That means more than half of the reason for the trip was business. If you buy more business food than personal food at a grocery store, you can claim this as a business trip. Either the trip is primarily business or it's not.

I was told at one point from a CPA for groceries to only claim one way for the mileage since I'm always grocery shopping for both my family and daycare. Should I still be doing that?

No. If you claimed one way that means you never came home! You could claim 50% of all the trips, but never part of a trip.
