I applied for employee id number before and I got it. When I am applying I applied that no plan to hire employees. But, now, I want to hire an employee to help me. How do I change it? Do I need new Employee Id number. I am so confused? Tom, please help me.

No, you only get one. Its like your business ID number.

Thanks. So, I can still hire an employee , am I correct? How do I inform IRS that I am hiring an employee?

You inform the IRS you have an employee by filling out the proper payroll tax forms - quarterly Form 941.
