Well, the child is still misbehaving but we attempt to cut it off before it even begins. Sometimes, however, this is not possible. It can come right in the middle of the child having a blast.
The child's parent told me recently that they discussed the child's behavior while in my care. The child told parent, "Well, sometimes during the day I just want to be bad." When asked if the child knows if they are making bad choices the child responded with, "Yes. But, I want to so I did it."
Not so awesome to hear that. Can't really nip it in the bud when the child actually enjoys it.
