Some of you have spoken of grant monies available. Other than the grant monies available through FCCERS, would anyone be willing to share grants available for daycare - even for daycare start-up?
I've looked, but don't find anything, and other than FCCERS, I'm not aware of any state grants in our state. And, in fact, day cares do not qualify for the other small business start-up loans/grants that our state offers.
So if anyone knows of other sources that they would be willing to share, it would be greatly appreciated, probably by more people than myself.

I'm in North Dakota but all I did was contact Child Care Resource and Referral and ask what kind of grants were available if any. I called right before i got licensed, by about a week, so I qualified for the start up grant. Then when that was done she gave me paperwork for another and now another, lol.

Our local referral agency also does grants and offers classes on grant writing. Ours this year are tied to Parent aware ratings I believe. I would check your Resource and Referral agency.
