Hello everyone, I just need to find out in the state of NC for a center with up to 12 children how many staff member do you have to have. Is it possible that you can go over 12 children? thank you

The ratio for centers in NC is:

Up to 17 Months (1:5)
18 months (1:6)
27 months (1:10)
3 years (1:15)
4 years (1:20)
5 - 9 years (1:25)
10 years and older (1:25)

I got this off of the daycare.com licensing standards page. It doesn't quite make since, but this is what it said. I've never heard of a center that allows only 12 children. That sounds more like a home daycare. Are you sure you mean a center?

yes it is a home that allows you to have up to 12 kids. they call it a residential center. a normal home daycare allows 8 kids thank you.
