Welcome to the forum. Never heard of a cloth book. Maybe someone will chime in tomorrow.

I don't even know if they make them anymore. They were a very tough material practically rip proof. You could wipe the cover and pages often to clean. They were soft so good for babies .I haven't seen them to buy in many years. They did wrinkle with use (just like cloth)but you could carefully iron them (press).Really showing my age now.
A version of them is still around. A little different than the ones I grew up with. Search on amazon and you’ll see examples.

They definitely still make cloth books. I have a few. They're in Amazon and any bookstore that has kids books.

Depending on age, maybe try the Indestructibles books? We've had a few and I can attest that not even my teethers can ruin them!

They are books made of cloth and are great for infant and toddlers.

This. I've had some made of plain heavy cotton and some that had a plastic-like coating on them. I liked the plain ones better because they didn't crease and could just be tossed in the washer.

I remember my SIL making some, too. They used to sell material in the stores you could cut/sew into cloth books. They also sold plastic infant friendly washable books but those got chewed, and ripped quite easily. Not so infant friendly.
