How many of you give parents free vacation or sick days?

How many do you give?

What is your policy for using the days?

Right now I give full time parents 10 days a year.

I ask they use 1-2 days at a time for sick days & 3+ days for vacation & I require a 3 week notice if using 3+ days.

It hurts financially when they do use them but I am generous & give them.

I do not get paid for my time off. I do get paid for Holidays.

For 2015 I am thinking about about putting those days off into my weekly rate. For example I charge $175.00 for full time child care. I will drop it to $166.25 but they will pay me 52 weeks a yr ( unless I take off)

For part timers - none

For full timers - one week (5 days) at 1/2 off. I have mostly part timers. Most be notified at least 2 weeks in advance and must be used consecutively

I don't give parents any sick or vacation days. I take 4 days a year paid.

For families. No vacation days. No sick days
For me. Unpaid vacation, sick or personal days. Paid holidays (listed in contract)
Had more issues when I offered a payment free vacation week for families. That's why I ditched it.since I changed it to the above, no issues.

I take 8 paid holidays per year and 5 unpaid consecutive vacation days per year in the summer. If I have to close for an emergency or other unexpected reason, families are not expected to pay for those days.

Families get vacation days which correspond to the number of days their child is enrolled:

-A child who is enrolled 5 days per week gets 5 days of vacation per year.
-A child who is enrolled 4 days per week gets 4 days per year.
-A child who is enrolled 3 days per week gets 3 days per year.

My kids who attend 2 or fewer days a week are considered drop in. They pay a higher rate and do not pay holidays nor receive any vacation time themselves.

The vacation days are available to use after they have been enrolled for 3 months and they do not roll over year to year.

They can take as many days as they want. I take the same rate every month. No discounts for any reason. All holidays and 2 weeks vacation paid for all children.

It really boils down to what you can charge in your area. This is standard in my area.

I take 10 holiday days per year. Parents get free days = to how many days they attend per week.

I have subs for doctors appt, etc, and vacations. So that does cost me.
