I think it was MV, that gave me the idea to set up my daycare on Google Places. I set up a Google account, added myself to places, since I wasn't a verified business they sent me a code in the mail. My questions:

-I am on the 1st Home daycare but I am on the second page, how do I get on the first page?

-It looks so boring! It only has my name, picture, phone number and directions! I put additional info on but it's not showing. Anyone know why?

-What does the G+1 or G+2 mean? I have never used anything on google before except searching.

-Some daycares have reviews, how do you leave reviews? I want to ask my parents to leave a review.

I think that's it for now

Hi, sorry. I just saw this. Glad to know you figured it out and glad to see someone left you a sweet review.

As far as getting higher placement in Google searches for no money you can add your website link to the Google ad. Ask other clients to review your daycare too. The more people click on the ad the higher placement you get. If you have a FB page post your website link often to get people to go there. When your link is tied to Google places you get even more higher placement.

It takes a while but eventually you won't have to do as much work. Also keep in mind that people that are logged in to their Google accounts that search for daycare will have the listings most closest to them. So if there is a family that searches "daycare [city, state]" the closest ones to her (and of course the places that pay for placement) will show up first. I'd say that 2nd page is still pretty good placement though.
