Egad, when did that happen? Every single year this happens! Summer flies by and I don't even notice it. When does school start back where you are? Most of my dcks go back the week of August 25th.
What kinds of changes do you foresee or are you planning on, as far as enrollment, curriculum, etc.?

I have to rethink the activities I plan because my youngest at the moment is 26 months but I'll be getting 2 dcks, ages 12 months and 18 months. Big changes all around.

School starts this Friday, here.

I am beyond excited for the big DCK's to head off to school. These last few weeks, after they have outgrown EVERYTHING, have been rough.

**This is the first year that I had kids through kindergarten, ages 5-6 (barring special needs). They seem HUGE to me. We have free public preschool around here, but because of budget cuts they went to half days, only, last year. I had to retain the DCK's because parents did not want to pay for full-time slots, provide transportation and have the kids attend part-time. I do not offer part-time rates, will not. (THAT was rough as I had already filled their slots. )

I will be back to infant and toddlers only and am looking forward to doing our toddler curriculum again. It will be two and a half years before I have to deal with that again.

School starts in 2 weeks here. Kids are ready, parents are ready, it's time.
I'll be glad to have my "normal" routine back.

Kids here don't go back to school until after Labor Day.

I have a one DCK aging out into Kindy but I still have the younger sibling so I will still see him occasionally.

I also termed a parent on Friday (Ugh...terms never go well ) and have 2 new families (3 kids) starting over a staggered period the month of August.

Have my curriculum in place and my materials as well as each child's supply box filled and ready to go.

I'm looking forward to Fall....lots of changes on the horizon here and with my new found organizational mode...I'm thinking positive and anticipating a good end to summer and a great beginning to Fall. ....even though we are a solid month away still.

School starts Aug. 25 here. I am ready for some of mine to move on as they have begun to act up a bit when they never did before.

School starts here August 18, so I will have 2 more weeks of having my s/a kids here all day.

I will miss them! They are super helpful with the younger ones- reading & playing learning games, puzzles etc. with them. They are 10 & 7 & I also have a 5yo starting kindy for 1/2 day. This will mean drop off at 8:30 for one & pick ups at 12, 2:30 & 3:15. It makes afternoons a bit crazy & dh needs to be here for me, so this plays havoc in his side work jobs!

I always enjoy not having to do the transportation and simply having everyone here!!!!

I have lots of changes taking place in August... I'm losing a p/t family and picking up 2 new f/t kids! I had a preschool opening, since I had family change their plans & was able to fill that with a 4 yo starting Monday.

I believe it'll be a great little group & am excited to start regular preschool activities with them!

BC31, would you care to share some of your new found organizational hints?
My house has become so disorganized this summer. With older kids here, they love to do crafts all the time when they can. I can't find anything anymore. Then there's the toddlers who put everything where it doesn't belong. I've got buckets, bins, and shelves, but with all the dumping of toys, organization goes out the window. Even the older kids drop things where they lose interest in them. I'm ALWAYS on their case about picking up after themselves.

I'm seriously thinking of packing every single thing up and storing it.

So yeh, any help with that? Thank you!

Aug. 20 here and I can't wait!!!!

These past two weeks have been awful. Everyone is fighting and arguing over the silliest things. Behavior is awful. I can't wait to send my bigs off to school!

It is really just a boost in energy and a really good deal on these:

and one of these:

It's MORE addicting than a laminator.

I also bought 2 dozen 3 ring binders and put EVERYTHING for curriculum (separated into months) into one dozen different binders and everything for the business end of this into the other dozen binders.

Had DH build me a couple shelves for storage of both my 3 ring binders and my toys in their new labled bins and viola` = Organization.

Sept. 2nd here. Between the DC and my family there will be a lot of changes. 2 kids leaving for kindy... one full day one half day. One leaving for pre-k. P/t...looking forward to that he's our "spirited" DCB. The oldest SA boy is on his last two weeks Two FT 2 year olds starting Sept. My DS leaves for his first year of college Sept. 14th....having a lot of tears with this. Any tips there for organizing and dorm needs would be greatly appreciated! DD will be in her 2nd year of HS, she seems prepared so that helps. Looking forward to restarting preschool curriculum, I love fall and all the crafts. I think it will help take my mind off DS leaving and I have plenty of reorganizing to do to once summer slows down .
