Is it just me that when I read WOW then a statement takes it like How dare you say that. I know every board it different but it seems here WOW does not mean how excited I am but WOW you are wrong and should not even post here...
Yes I know I just state my answers bluntly and that irritates some... I am what I am...
I do not get offended easily so it is whatever ( do not like that phrase either LOL)
really I am not trying to start a fight today either LOL maybe I am bored

I guess I haven't read enough WOW posts to have that reaction. I tend to use WOW in a positive manner so I also tend to read it that way.

Lilly's Purplr Plastic Purse - "Wow that is just about all I can say, Wow!"
I don't read that much into a comment like wow, to be honest. I don't know of anyone who uses the word "wow" as a negative expression in real life.

WOW - me too!
SquirrellyMama 09:59 AM 05-09-2013
I tend to use WOW when I'm surprised, either good or bad.
1. Wow, that is a beautiful dress!
2. Wow, I can't believe you just said that!

Maybe you are mis-reading someone's intent. I have used Wow to begin a statement on here but it was never to insinuate that I think another provider is wrong about something - it is mostly used in my case to express disbelief at how DCP's act like: Wow, I can't understand why they would expect so much special!
Blackcat31 10:29 AM 05-09-2013
Wow! I had no idea there were so many interpretations of the word wow!
canadiancare 10:41 AM 05-09-2013
Wow I have no idea what this is about.
I take more offence at the misuse of the word "whatever"

MyAngels 11:12 AM 05-09-2013
Thanks, ladies - now I have the word Wow! running through my brain....
AfterSchoolMom 11:14 AM 05-09-2013
I use it both ways:
Wow!
Wow.
Totally different.
Childminder 11:19 AM 05-09-2013
Try reading it upside down. MOM

I like "really" as a question! Negative use....."Your food is all over the floor! Really?" Or positive use....."You did it by yourself? Really? Wow!"
Unregistered 11:22 AM 05-09-2013
It's the "wow. just wow." phrase that sounds so sarcastic when used on this forum. I always read it as if someone's shaking their head in disbelief that someone would think/write whatever it is they're responding to.

Agreed! "Wow, I love that picture, DCB!" OR "Wow, did i really just find you sleeping in your pack 'n play w/o pants and a diaper?!" (Yep, both of those just this morning, too
)
LOL
melilley 11:40 AM 05-09-2013
Funny, just yesterday I responded to a post and put Wow. At first when I read this, I thought I said something wrong in that post and I actually asked myself if the person whom I was responding to would take it the wrong way (it wasn't in a mean way, I was just surprised at what lengths they had to go through for something..the Celiacs post). I had to go back and look...lol

I do!
But I use a lot of sarcasm.
