What is needed for subs for taxes? There is a local provider who closed and is now subbing. I consulted my tax person and he said she needs a contract. She doesn't have one but is willing to create one. What things should be in there? What did I need to use to track her payment should I choose to use her services? I know there is a line between employee and contractor. I would call her to see if she us available x date etc.

Thanks. She does sub for other people but does not have a business name. She pays for her own trainings and her DHS backround check is attached to multiple providers. Does that mean I need to set her up as an employee?

She is probably an independent contractor because she works for a number of providers. To make her case stronger she should get a business name and register it.
