How is everyone's day so far?

So far, dcb 1 has arrived WITH his bag of candy from last night to "share." lol

We'll see how the rest of the day goes

One of my babies stayed home today so I've got a slightly lighter day. No one came with candy. But, they're having issues with sharing and shrieking at each other already.

Strange...I've never had a problem the day after Halloween. Two of them are as tiresome as ever, and I don't think the other family lets their son gorge on the candy. I don't let DD or DS gorge on candy either. I think DD had maybe 3 or 4 pieces, and a couple of them were at my behest because I wanted her to try something small to see if she liked it while deciding what she'd keep and what she'd get rid of. So, no one's behavior is off of usual.

Mine are all just really tired and extra whiny (Especially my own kids).
Not looking forward to the afternoon....it is pretty nice out though so hopefully everyone can be grumpy outside LOL

I had 2 more kids come with candy.

It never ocurred to me that parents would let their children bring candy to daycare

So of course, I put the candy up and told them that if they behaved, they may have a piece after lunch.

So far so good, but everyone is extra whiny today, probably from too much sugar and not enough sleep. Naptime countdown....

I'm closed for the first time in over 20 years.

One of my babies threw up last Fri but I didn't send her home because it was the end of the day and she was happy and cheerful. Fast forward to today and 9 people have had it so far. I spent the entire day in bed yesterday and texted all parents last night that I was closing today.

This happened to one of my friends.

She came down with it in the morning while at work but had to take hubs to an appt. Hubs called a friend to pick him up from appt. so wife could go home. The next morning her hubby woke up with it and that night the friend had it that gave him the ride. The next moring the friends wife came down with it.

I couldn't believe how quick it traveled and how it went to people the first person wasn't even in contact with.

I think everyone was in bed 2-3 days with it too!

I think October is the month of the stomach bug! Seems every year kids start coming down with that around this time...my Mother was really sick with a stomach virus last year at Halloween...really puts a damper on the fun
I hope everyone is feeling better!

Not too bad. They all seem a little tired today, and are not listening the greatest, but I was prepared for that. It has been much worse in the past, so I am thankful that it is going as well as it is. Although, I am about to take one little guys snack away because he keeps grabbing everyone elses! Kids!

No Halloween hangovers here. ALL my parents are warned the night before.

I WILL send home if they over did the holiday. The parent let them do it so the parent can deal with it.

Luckily everyone is good today though

Thursday is our slow day so it's pretty calm around here. My own son is the one who is being the biggest stinker and I KNOW he hasn't had that much candy! He's just 2

All my dck are good. All sleeping (which NEVER happens!).

Slow morning, mostly they played or read quietly. No big plans for today. Keep it mellow.

No different here than any other day in the last month. Was hoping with a new month we could start new attitudes/behaviors, but I guess not.

On a side note, if you are reheating coffee in the microwave, you should really watch what buttons you push before you walk away. I burnt the beejezzus out of my tongue because I think I put it in for 5 minutes. Now my mint condition will not taste as could as it should.
