Love getting checks from the food program...hate waiting for them

April was my first month, I submitted my claim a couple weeks into May and received my check towards the end of the month.

Submitted Mays claim the first day of June and...Still no check yet

Come on people! I need that money

Yeah I have to wait 5-6wks to get mine too. Once you start getting them it's much easier. I include my May FP payment in with my July income since that's when I get it. June goes in Aug and so on.

I submit my claim for May by the 3rd of June and have my check direct deposited in my account by the 15-18th of the same month.

Less than 3 weeks total.

My money is automatically paid into my bank account on the first of every month.

My paperwork is due by the 3rd of the month.
Money is deposited in my bank account by the 1st. Often a day or 2 early.

Yesterday I recieved the check for April. At the beginning of last year I had to wait a lot. Now I get them at the end of every month, 2 months behind, but I get them.

I feel like everyone else gets their checks more quickly. For instance I'll submit my June paperwork by the 5th but won't get a check until July for it. On taxes I always claim December - November's FP because December's check always comes in January.

That's how it is here too. About 6wks after I submit it is when I get my direct deposit. Waiting for the first payment sucks but once you start getting them it's every month even if it's a month behind. I actually like that because when I have a drop in attendance it takes a bit for my food program to catch up and hopefully replace them by then.

I was all excited because I submitted it a couple weeks earlier than last month but it's taking longer to get here. Oh well. I'll deal.

Cant complain about getting that big check in the mail

Mine comes around the same time that my next one is due. Rarely ever sooner

I submit online between the first and 5th of the month. I get my check the first of the month, 2 months later. As long as I am not late in submitting, I am getting a check every month on the first. Well, not check, it's direct deposit.

Crazy how it's a Federal program but the sponsors have different policies!

IMO, once you start getting them regularly it won't be so hard to wait - it's just the first few months that are hard. And if you forget to submit on time so your payment is held until the next month.

I just got an email from the food program saying they are still waiting for the government to deposit the money into their account so they can give us our money
