Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Anyone Want to Share Their Policy Handbook with Me?

I am in the process of writing my policy handbook for my licensing and i'm at a little bit of a loss on how to word things. I'm very much a get to the point type of person, but I feel like my handbook needs to be a bit wordier... The sample policy from the DCF website feels so cold and sterile. i'm looking for something with a bit less of a "contract" feel. Anyway want to share with me their book? Bonus points if you're in Wisconsin

Few of us are on during the weekends. Many of us can't really participate before arrivals or until naptime during the week. Mine just went down.

My state offers this template as a guide. http://decal.ga.gov/documents/attach...ide_Sample.pdf

I will add tags so that you can also read old threads to add little things to make your life easier to your own.

Also, contracts, handbooks and mission statements are three different things. I have all three plus emergency, behavioral and health plans.

Your contract should be to the point and sterile. Too wordy and it muddies the rules. You will battle it for years if you go that route.

The handbook can be a longer explanation of the rules, a brief statement of who you are and your qualifications.

Your mission statement is for all of your feelings, dreams, hopes, anecdotal experiences and goals.

i'm not looking for contracts and handbooks. i'm just interested in the policies part. I do not like the DCF/state version of the policies. Just looking for other ideas that are more user friendly. I don't do mission statements and philosophies. that's just a bunch of mumbo jumbo in my opinion. Policies and a signed contract are whats important. I may do a handbook but that's not required for a license so I won't worry about that now.

There’s lots more threads on the subject. Just do a tag search for those words for more information.

Google it and combine.

Just don't forget that it is a business document, not a children's picture book. It doesn't should be friendly or sound friendly, it must be clear and concise.
