If you are 95% sure a kid is yanking your chain by telling you he/she has to go potty during nap, do you let them go?

We all go right before we lie down. They can get up once during nap if a little time has passed. If they keep doing this I tell Mom pullups or diapers have to go back on till they can go the entire nap I don't admit that I think they playin me but the diaper comment to the Mom and child usually works. Of course, need to be sure there isn't a UTI issue.

I do

Once before, once allowed during and once after.

I have a lot of patience for kids antics, hence my short fuse with adults...

I don't anymore for most. I had an older one purposely pee so I would start letting him mid-nap...made wear pull-ups for 2 weeks and then he said he thought he could hold it (like he did in the pull up). He magically started sleeping 2 hrs again.

There are 2 girls I let go. They go back to sleep after and arent trying to be nosy and tour the daycare. No one knows they go..

It depends on the kid. If it's an every day thing (like with some kids), the answer is no. If I really believe that the child has to go, I certainly let them. I haven't had an accident yet after saying no, so I am guessing that I'm reading them right.

It depends on the situation. We all go right before nap, so there really isn't much do an excuse. Sometimes it happens, and I just judge accordingly. I wouldn't allow it more than 1x/ nap. And I do say "no", if another child has just gone and that seemed to make the other children remember that they need to go too. I can pretty much tell by my kids personalities if it is real or a game.
