Ok, this has nothing to do with my daycare, but I can't keep it in; my Navy son is coming home for a ONE month visit!!! I haven't seen my child in over two years due to deployments to undisclosed locations. I have had it posted on out board for two weeks,
"Zac is coming on Thursday!!!"
& the kids are SUPER excited to meet him. All the parents have been informed he is coming straight to my daycare from the airport. I can't believe I get to hug my son today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (SQUEAL!!!)

It’s hard…, every day is SOOOOOO hard. Most of the time I don’t know where he is, due to deployments. They go to places like South Korea to force North Korea to stand down from launching nuclear test rockets. I just want him home safe…, in mom’s arms.

I'm so happy for you. My daughter is in the army (getting out in 2 weeks) but she was never deployed and is based 7 hours away so I see her about every 3 months.
I couldn't imagine not seeing her for 2 years, especially if she had been deployed.
It makes me cry to think of the joy you must be feeling right now. Enjoy every second of it as I'm sure the time will fly by.

Woo Hoo!
Enjoy every single moment of your time together!
After 9 years in the USAF and 3 deployments my dd is getting out this summer-I can't wait!
Is your son staying in for his whole career?
Tell him thank you for his service-and thank you to you too
Awesome! It is so hard when loved ones are away and you don't get to hear from them. Give him big hugs, but don't squeeze him so hard that he can't breathe
Enjoy your time and BW3's-
that place! I hope your month goes really slow
BumbleBee 07:44 AM 02-07-2013
Awesome!
My brother was a Marine (honerable discharge in 2003) and I once went 3.5 years without seeing him. Hugging him was the best feeling in the world!

Buffalo Wild Wings..., as American as you can get.
I just served the kids dinner & heard the motion senors go off. I looked out the door & there he was...., MY KID! He was standing right there! I flung open the door, ran out & hug the living snot outta him!!! Oh..., I cried too. I told the DCKs I might cry happy tears. They all smiled & were happy to see him too. WOW. He is here. I still can't believe it.
Thanks everyone. I truly appreciate it.
