I don't know much about herbs and organic things. Is there something that I can do everyday that will help boost my immune system? Like a tea or a vitamin. I don't want to sound stupid lol but I once agian have the tummy bug going through my house for the 5th time this year (it always comes from the same family) and as I sit here on the couch with a fever and watch the kids play I am thinking something has to give and any help would be grateful! And before anyone says anything, I told all the parents I was sick and guess who showed up anyway lol

I take a B complex vitamin every day with breakfast (I've never had luck w/taking it on an empty stomach).

Knock on wood I haven't had anything other then a mild tummy bug and a small cold this season.

Stress B Complex and a good multi-vitamin with calcium and D.

I also take fish oil for inflammation, pain management and cognitive protection.

The BEST fix for you is rest.

I second the suggestions for Vitamin B complex but the KEY with any illness is rest and being open for business is not going to help you meet that goal.

My suggestion before buying anything would be to revamp your illness policy....if you are sick with a fever; CLOSE.

Don't leave it up to the parents. You already know how they will react.

Plus if one of their kids gets sick now, they will figure it came from you so there is no reason for exclusion..kwim?

Not following your own illness policies yourself is probably the biggest reason this bug has been passed back and forth so many time already.

I hope you feel better soon!

Most people get sick in the winter from the "flu" because of a lack of outdoor time/super covered up anyways (vitamin D deficiency). Obviously, other illnesses can occur because of a deficiency as well (and most people ARE deficient! Especially people with darker skin!). I take 10,000iu vitamin D.

Also, probiotics are essential. 81% of your immune system is found in your GUT so you need the good bacteria in there to help keep everything in check.

This was my thought too-
Plus disinfect everything- as soon as your up to it, clean, air out and disinfect. Everything you can-
don't touch your face with your hands and if you have to wash them first.

Illness policy first--- I hope you feel better

I take a good multi vitamin daily. Drink plenty of water and when you feel something coming on rest, drink, rest, drink- Helps to flush is out quicker.
