DCKS: Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear; Follow the leader; Freeze dance

Family/DH: scrabble, trivial pursuit, scene it, hearts... Every weekend DH and I do "wacky weekend" where we try to find something different/new to experience in our area. Things like bowling to batting cages, punk to classical concerts, local/foreign films, oddball restaurants...

Myself: I don't really play games in my spare time, I'm usually working on other side businesses But if I do its words with friends, candy crush saga (I seriously hate this game but somehow I can't stop! ), solitare

I got this game for Christmas and LOVE it (although there are aspects that Sims 2 had that make me wish 2 and 3 could be more alike) and I recently got SimCity (the newest one) and I have to say...it is WAY cool and really fun!

I was thinking about getting the new SimCity (I had a previous version before that I loved as well as Railroad Tycoon) but I wasn't sure $60 was worth it. If you like it then maybe I'll go ahead and splurge on myself .

Ive had all versions of the Sims. The original, Sims 2 and Sims 3. I've also always waited a while and bought the expansion packs (not so much the stuff packs) once they go on sale and for the Sims 3 I have ALL of the expansion packs all the way up to the University one ... and then I found out that the Sims 4 is coming out . I'm SOOOOO going to wait a long time before investing any money into the new version.

I've never played any other version of SimCity, but I sure do like this one...the only downfall is you HAVE to have internet to play.

As far as the Sims go, I too have all the expansion packs too...LOL! but find I spend a ton of time "shopping" here http://www.thesimsresource.com/

I LOVE that you can get new stuff and satisfy any urge you have to spend money shopping. You can buy a paid membership (which IS worth it) but I find most my things for free...the free stuff changes every day.

with dck-Candy Land (but we make up our own rules when they are older. We play it backwards a lot meaning starting at the end and going to the beginning); Fisher Price Barnyard Bingo; Stealing Casino card game; we also make our own board games using poster board.

family-absolutely love Catch Phrase; monopoly; checkers; Uno (the one with the electronic thing that spits out cards), Game of Life.

Self-Catch Phrase; Password (but nobody will play it with me ), play Spin to Riches on my phone, Checkers

DCK: UNO, Zingo, Simon says (even though my DCK are too young to get it - they just like following directions).

For me: I love board games. Scattergories, trivial pursuit, and apples to apples are my favorites.

I used to play this on the computer but it slowed my computer way down, that and Farmville.... so I don't play those anymore. I did like the shopping end of it and building my sims houses up with funny stuff in them.
hi-jack all you want. I was trying to stimulate the conversations anyway, figured it was my turn to post up some threads. I have to remember to check out the other forums boards and not just the main one and the private. Usually that is all I have time for and I just forget about the others.

I knew there was a reason I like you guys! I have been playing the Sims since it was first released like... what... had to have been 10-15 years ago! I have to limit it to one weekend day because real life time means nothing to me while I play

Totally true! Time (both real and simulated) seem to always be in fast forward mode whenever I play....LOL!

Sometimes I wish for a rainy weekend so I can have my time to be inside/play.

It CAN be so addicting sometimes!
