Four years ago I got a misdemeanor for reckless driving in the state of California. Will this effect me being hired in a childcare

I got a speeding ticket last year and within a few days since it is reported in the paper, my Daycare liscense worker called me to make sure i wasnt drunk or anything. 
really hate that they put it in the paper

Anytime anyone gets pulled over its put into the daily newspaper.
