I've been researching waffle makers and looking at the reviews. There aren't too many out their that seem to be worth the money after reading some of the reviews.
The one I Like and seems to have good reviews is expensive: Calphalon no peek four slice Belgian waffle maker...$99
I really would like a four slice waffle maker, but could get by with a two slice.
What kind do you own?

A round $20 that I bought at the grocery store.
It serves wonderfully. Makes 4 waffles at a time (well, one, that's in quarters, so yeah). I've had it for a couple years and have zero complaints.
On the same note, I also love my $20 electric griddle that I got at the grocery store.

I have a Belgian waffle maker, it's made by West Bend. It was a wedding gift, and I'm sure it wasn't no $100 deal. It is one of ones that rotates and works really fast. Takes me maybe 3 minutes to do a giant waffle?

I don't like the thicker Belgian waffles. I have a Cuisinart that I bought on-line. It was pretty pricey, but I love it.

Yup. $20 cuisinart. Got it for christmas a few years back. I loveit. Takes about 4 min to make 1 large round waffle. I wanted an expensive one that rotated and made belgiam waffles, but after using one at afriends house, I am glad I didn't get it. Mine is pretty much mess free and just wipes clean. Here's always seemed to drip batter. Maybe we were using it wrong, but I saved $80 and I am still using it 2 years later

I have one and it makes 2 waffles at a time (but its really quick) one side has the waffle side and the other side are seasame street characters, mil bought it for me and I love it. Have used it for years.

I have an inexpensive heart shaped waffle maker. It works well for the price. The kids love waffles, we have breakfast for lunch once a week here. Sometimes ham and eggs sometimes pancakes and sausage and sometimes waffles and bacon.

It works well - 1/4 cup of batter per square and I set the timer for 4 minutes.
Now that it's getting old I have give it a shot of PAM every now and then as they are starting to stick.
I use the recipe that came in the booket but add about a tablespoon of vanilla to it.
The house always smells great when I'm making waffles.
My Golden Retriever highly approves of them - in fact, he once stole 13 homemade waffles off the counter.
He doesn't do that any more thankfully. He's a good boy now.

Rotary Belgian waffle makers aren't any more expensive than any other kind of waffle maker
This is the one I have, not sure where it was bought from but they've got it at Walmart for $24. Only time it's ever dripped is when I put way too much batter in, but that can happen with any waffle maker lol. One waffle gets four kids started with breakfast in minutes. I can rarely finish a whole one myself because they are so giant!:

Have you looked at thrift stores for waffle makers?
I'm a thrift store junkie (
) so I always look there before purchasing anything new. I bought a 4-slice belgian waffle maker from my closest thrift store for $8 and we are going on 4 years with it. I've never once had any problems with it but I do spray with cooking oil before pouring the batter in to prevent any sticking. I can get 4 waffles done at once and I love it.
I also bought a mini donut maker (brand new, still in the original wrapping and box) from my thrift store and the kids go wild about them! They're fun to decorate for each holiday and it's the perfect serving size for my kids.

Just saw last night a babyycakes waffle stick maker. they looked the perfect size for little ones! Like french toazt sticks. But, i guess u would still need to cut it up
I think it was less than $30!

ooo yeah I saw that at the grocery store! Thought it looked marvelous. Then you can give them little cups of syrup or wahtever and they can dip it.
