Default Raising Rates

I want to raise my rates to 25, I plan on writing a news letter to make parents aware of this I just have a question on how I should word a portion where I state if you are not comfortable with the rate changes I request your 2 weeks notice before the end of the month before the month starting the wage increase. any advice on how to write up my news letter would be greatly appreciated

I would say

"As of October 1st, new rates statements will be given out. Please sign and date your rate statement and return to me NO LATER than October 15, 2012. If do not agree with your new rate and wish to withdraw from our child care agreement, please submit your written notice and return that to me by the same deadline. Thank you."

Then give each parent a statement with their new rate on it. Have a place for them to sign and date acknowledgment of the new rate. When they return it, place it in their file and there ya go

If they don't sing and return it, then expect their notice to leave.

If you don't ant them to submit written notice of leaving, you could just say that if they don't return the new rate statement then you will take that as their intent to discontinue services with you after OCtober 15th. Which ever is easiest.

I just used October 1st and 15th as an example so insert whatever dates your new rates go into effect and whatever date you want the notices returned by. HTH
