Daycare and Taxes>Receipt Question

I have parents that are divorced. The Mom pays me every week. When I gave out the receipt I gave it to the Mom but I put both of their names on it. Now the Dad is requesting a receipt for 1/2 the amount. He said he pays 1/2 the daycare through his child support. I already have one receipt out there for the full amount and I'm not sure I should write another one for 1/2. I hope someone has had a similar situation and can advise me on how to handle it.

Give it to the parent who pays you. Then they can handle it between themselves. I would say "I issued the receipt you need to talk to mom and work it out".
