Default Do You Think She Is Trying To Pull The Child Without Notice??

I care for a 10 month old dcb that is trying to walk. He is very wobbly and falls all over the place. Long story short; last Wednesday dcb was here and as he was trying to walk around the picnic table where the kids do their crafts on he fell and bumped his mouth. Well he has 2 little teeth at the bottom and they went through his lip. The mom calls later that day and asked how did he hurt himself here. I explained to her what happened just as I explained to the aunt a pick up.

The next day dcb didn't come, so I called to see if there was a problem. Dcm said that he wasn't feeling well and went on to say that dcb lip was swollen and that he also had a scratch on his nose. Dcb hasn't been here since the accident. Dcm has been calling saying that he is still sick. Well today as I was picking up at Headstart one of my preschoolers told me they seen dcb and dcm at his school. I called dcm and asked when was dcb going to return and then went on to ask about her if she was trying to enroll dcb in early headstart.

Do you think she is trying to take him out without telling me, do you think I should be looking to fill his spot, what would you'll do?

I say start looking for a new dck. It sounds to me like she is trying to find somewhere else. I'm sorry this happened to you!

It certainly looks like she's going to pull him. I'd start advertising to fill the spot. Document the accident, put in a call to licensing, and wait and see.

Thank you!

That's the same thing I was thinking. Dcb comes all the time with scratches on him that he has done himself and that's what I told dcm. I also asked her why she didn't mention the scratch the day she called and asked about his lip instead of waiting until the next day to bring it up

I'm assuming the child is top young to be going to tour other sch's school though right?

I would assume at least that part was a coincidence. She could have been picking up her sister's children? Or the children of a friend if they knew dcb was sick and mom was home with him?

What did she say in response to your questions? I'd ask her point blank if she planned to return because if not you need to fill his spot. Nothing personal, but you do have a business to run you know?

No he isn't to young. He had gotten accepted into the program around July and she turned it down. She wasn't picking up anyone.

When I asked her was she trying to enroll him into early headstart she said she had a meeting with the lady to keep his info updated in case she wanted to enroll him again...YEA RIGHT

My thing is this....why since the accident he hasn't been here and she just happen to have a meeting today with someone from early headstart?

I did and she said he will be back on tomorrow. I'm going to sit down and have a talk with her. Maybe she will tell the truth about whether she is puliing him out or not. Thanks for the hug!!
