Okay I'm new to dc and this will be my first cold/flu season with the kids. I need your your ideas/tips on how you clean and disinfect the dc to help reduce the kids getting sick. I know we are all going to get sick but if there is anything I can do to reduce the freq and seriousness I want to. I already have a strict illness policy that so far the parents are following (have had 2 kids out already due to stomach flu and my bd has the cough). How often do you clean? Disinfect? With what? And what do you do with your children when they get sick? Do any of you require the flu shot? Thanks

H,mmmmm I never thought of requiring a flu shot in my policies. Thats a good one!! I will have to add that! My family gets all of our flu shots, so I know we are at least protected from getting it from dc kids, but it is good to protect the dc kids.

I just use a ton of clorox wipes. I wipe down everything with that stuff and buy it in bulk. I spray the room and door handles etc with lysol spray everynight too. I spray the pnp's since there is no way to wash them, and I change the sheets daily, and buy those kleenex tissues that say they prevent the spreading of germs.
