Do any of you know what the maximum hours allowed in a daycare are? Or does Iowa not have any laws about that? Thank you

There are no maximum hours for daycare in Iowa. As you probably know the DHS pays per 5 hour unit and if a parent works full time they get 2 units a day (equaling 10 hours) but I've had parents that work and go to school and the DHS has approved 3 units a day for them (15 hours).

I allow 9 1/2 hrs a day not to exceed 4:30 just because that is what I choose to do in TN. I don't open till 6 AM so that stops parents from coming from open to close.
