Hello All,
First time members , so good to be here !!
We are planning to start a daycare in our new home basement (walk-out with kitchen, fridge and bathroom). We already have an LLC which we are planning to declare as the owner of the Daycare when licensing it with the Illinois DCFS .
Question is, that is it possible to license the Daycare to a LLC rather than a person ?

Thanks

My best guess would be no but it may also vary by state. I recommend you contact Tom Copeland, either through this forum or directly through his blog at www.tomcopelandblog.com

Yes, it is smart to separate your business from your personal finances. Here are the Illinois standards for starting a family daycare: https://www.daycare.com/illinois/lic...are_homes.html
