Please! I just cannot hear this song one more time! The girl who sings it has the strangest singing voice. It was cute.....at first.

I ADORE Idina Menzel (she played Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway...my FAVE), however, I have to agree that if I hear that song again I may scream like the wicked witch!

AND my 4 girls that are 3-4 years old happen to love singing that song at the TOP OF THEIR LUNGS every single day.

Shoot me, seriously.

Yesterday we watched a bunch of the youtube videos of people singing it in different character voices and the kids were laughing their little butts off. It was really cute. I don't mind cause we are a huge musical theatre and music in general household so the same song over and over and over is normal around here.

As soon as I saw the thread title I knew *exactly* what it was about LOL!

*All* the children in my care have been singing this song. Over, and over, and over, and over

But it's a really awesome song...

My 6 yo took several months of repeated gentle guidance but she now accepts that she's not allowed to sing loudly in the same room with everyone else unless we are ALL listening to the music. Otherwise she needs to take it to a different room, preferably her own. This goes for all the music, not just the Frozen soundtrack

I added Frozen to our Pandora station we use sometimes, and sometimes will put on some music (including Frozen songs) while I'm making lunch or something.

Probably shouldn't admit it but I listen to the Frozen Pandora station when I'm on the treadmill in the morning. I love Let it Go, LOL!!! But my dck's are all under 3 so they aren't singing it all day, maybe then I wouldn't like it so much.

I LOVED the movie, had to wait till it was on DVD cause my kids are all too old to want to see it in the theater. It was a great movie and the soundtrack is fabulous. Its just not something you want to hear 500x a day, LOL!

Everyone loves it here, too, including me! But I don't mine the same songs over and over - I tend to get stuck on one song when I like it just like the kiddos do.

I actually downloaded the soundtrack on iTunes and we've been enjoying that all throughout the house most mornings.

Me either. Seems most the girls I have in daycare are not at all interested.

If they are, I've heard nothing from any of them indicating they've seen the movie.

Now, like you, realize I should be grateful after reading this thread.

My 10 yr old DD found a youtube video that plays the song continuously for 10 hours straight! She listens to it over and over during her allotted screen time while she plays minecraft lol

I love the movie and so do the kids. 2 nights ago I couldnt get "want to build a snowman" song out of my head. It was only 2 sentences over and over again and I couldn't get to sleep.

As soon as I read the title, it popped in my head. I just spent my 20 min ride home listening to Mary Higgins Clark to get it out and now it's back. Thanks for the ear worm.

Oh yes, I am so over this song as well!! One of my dck's (6), she has to sing everything!!! It gets very old.. my daughter (8) has decided she was going to start singing everything. I put a stop to that VERY fast! lol

We've moved on from Frozen here (just in time, before I started hating the songs) and now my DD (5 in June) has become obsessed with One Direction ... and that's the only music the kids want to have dance parties to. I even have DCB (almost 2.5) asking for certain One Direction songs :\

Ugh, I thought that movie was super cute the first 20 times we saw it. I managed to snag a pirated copy before it came out, so we were overloaded long before everyone else. I spent the entire morning with "Do you want to build a snowman" in my head. Not the song, just that one line- because I can't remember the rest of the words. Talk about an ear worm!!

(Side note- my MIL thought the song was "let it snow." too funny, I just kept letting her think that as she sang it to my little one.)

Glad to know someone else feels my pain...I have two who sing it (or rather, 6 words over and over and over) ALL DAY at the top of their lungs. Of course, everyone else has learned it and they sing it too now. I am really really ready for them to let it go.
