The state in which I live requires we keep track of all animal vaccinations and flea and tick medication if the animal lives both inside and out.

Because the state requires vaccinations and flea and tick medication, are these expenses tax deductible?

I'm not sure Tom ever answered this question before. He did write a comment on chickens in the daycare: https://www.daycare.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34522
