I had such a fun Halloween planned with my DCKs. Then it all went downhill. A parent came 2 hours late with his kids (with no notice). We had decided to already start our party and were in the middle of a BINGO game when they arrived. The infant he brought was full of diarrhea and the older child came in with his bucket of candy from home and dumped it all over the floor! I thought maybe he brought it to share with the other kids, but NO. So the other kids were all over it. I made him put it away and he had a major tantrum and everything went downhill from there.

Honestly, do daycare parents not understand how busy we are, and that showing up 2 hours late on Halloween Party Day can cause problems? And then bring a kid with a diaper filled with poop?

I just don't know how much more of this I can take...

I hear you! I had 2 kids scheduled for 9:30 but they showed up at 7:30! I was waiting for other kids so it was okay BUT???? Text? Phone call?

I have tons of treats and projects to do but even the thought of getting the kids in their costumes for a picture sounds overwhelming.

It was, they were adorable, but exhausting. I LOVE Halloween, but the whole process is just exhausting.

I also just found out a former daycare child is demanding to come and see me. I thought maybe he would, so I made him a special goodie bag. That makes it all worth it!
