Something on another thread got me to thinking.

Do you allow older siblings to stay at home for maternity leave and keep their spot?

Here I require full payment for a spot. At all times. If moms on maternity leave, I still keep older sibling(s) for normal rate. Even if they keep them home.

Wondering if I'm alone in this or if others do the same thing?

I have the same policy re: older sibling pay regardless of attendance. I've had parents beg to go to part time due to finances, I allowed it but made it clear I would attempt to replace older sibling with full time child and the older child would lose their spot if I found a full timer.

I require payment in full for any spot a parent signs on for.

I don't care if the older children stay home or attend as normal.

Either way, the space needs to be paid for.

This included the infant space. As soon as it's open and available for use, payment in full is required.

ALL rates are based on enrollment not on attendance.

Call me a stickler but this is a business and in order to remain operating at full potential, I require payment on a full time basis.

Doesn't mean I am not caring or understanding....just that those two emotions don't dictate specific action. ie. discounts, waiving of fees etc.. kwim?
